Our History

Greater Washington Professional Networking is a dynamic professional organization dedicated to the power of building strong business relationships and giving back to the community. Our commitment to helping those in need is reflected in our various community service activities:

– In December 2011, we proudly supported "The Deb Moss Project" by preparing care packages for select Howard University students. These packages were presented during our annual holiday gala.

– In November 2012, our networking event introduced us to Steve Nash, President/CEO of Stoddard Baptist Nursing Home, the second oldest black-operated nursing home with over a century of service. To celebrate their 110th anniversary, we supported the home on Thanksgiving Day by presenting Mr. Nash with food baskets for the residents. Dexter Fields also contributed a floral arrangement, and several members served Thanksgiving dinner and provided entertainment to uplift the residents.

– In December 2012, we met Ms. Paulette Williams from the DC Healthy Start Program at one of our events. We donated Christmas gifts to eight families in need, creating baskets filled with items based on their wish lists.

– In December 2013, we supported two families in need, including one with seven girls, ensuring they had a brighter holiday season.
